COVID 19 UPDATE (Jan 2021)
We are currently in a full lock down and subject to level 4 restrictions.

Therefore no activities can be carried out at present. Please check back once restrictions are lifted.

Our Club

Picture
Central Scotland Highland Pony Club (CSHPC) was founded in 1989, to encourage owners of pure and part-bred highland ponies, to participate in all equestrian activities, in particular within the central belt of Scotland. In 2019 we celebrated our 30th anniversary with some special events. We have around 60 active members, and try to provide a variety of activities which ensure that we cater for as many member interests as we can.

We pride ourselves in being a very sociable and friendly club which enjoys a variety of un-mounted, non competitive social activities.

This year we have a number of different events planned, so please check back regularly to see what we're up to and what's on in your area.

CSHPC is affiliated to The Highland Pony Society, and is open to anyone with an interest in Highland Ponies.

British Riding Club

Central Scotland Highland Pony Club has affiliated to the British Riding Club.

"What does that mean?" -
The decision to join British Riding Clubs will have no effect on Central Scotland’s constitution and therefore the club’s aims and the way it is run but it allows the club a framework and support network to ensure we keep up with the ever-changing rules and regulations of running equestrian events, while ensuring that the health and safety of our members and their ponies at all our events is paramount.

"What can it do for me?" -
BRC gives both you and the club greater access to training, competitions and qualifications with the aim to help riders develop their skills and enjoy riding. While also allowing its members the opportunity to compete at local and national levels including Area Qualifiers and Championships with affiliated Clubs also being offered the opportunity to ride in area points and inter-club competitions.

"Where can i get more information about BRC?" - BRC is part of the British Horse Society and more information can be found on their website.
BHS

"What area are we in?" - CSHPC is part of Area 22, which has their own website and facebook page and can be found here.

CSHPC became full members in 2019 and if you are a member of the club, you should receive a membership card direct from the BRC.

We hope that you will understand and support the club in taking this decision and the opportunities that it may bring.
