23/6/2013

A huge well done to all of the CSHPC members who have competed at the Royal Highland Show over the past few days.  You all looked brilliant, and did the club proud!  There were some strong classes, with a number of members achieving excellent results with their ponies.  I wont put all of the results up, but particular congratulations to the following members who were placed in the HOYS qualifier class today.

The Royal Highland Show kicks off tomorrow, we know lots of our  members are competing, and want to wish you all the best of luck.

Here is hoping that the weather holds (your intrepid blog author can report that conditions at the show ground are currently hot, sunny, and dry)....how long can this last for?!

Have a brilliant show everyone, and don't spend too much in the tradestands!

Dry Run..

17/6/2013

Yesterday some of the Committee members (and a few guests!) did a dry run of some of the ride out route for August.

Pictured are Kenny and Fiadh having a paddle in the Tay to cool off.

The route is excellent, with options for both those wanting to have a leisurely blether, and for those wanting to go in a faster group with more trotting and cantering.  It includes a hack around the edge(!) of Perth Racecourse, down past the River Tay (optional paddling), and round some of the old parkland infront of Scone Castle.

The ride out is on the 11th of August and leaves from Blairhall Farm near Old Scone.  If you have any queries you can contact Rachael at [email protected]

Ride Out 11th August

5/6/2013

CSHPC have kindly been granted permission by Scone Estates to host a ride out on Sunday 11th August. The ride will be starting and finishing at Blairhall Steading. The route has some fantastic scenery, running along between the river and the race course, before stopping by a small beach, then continuing on through the park land infront of Scone Palace. There is very minimal road
work.

Afterwards there will be a chance for a chat and some. Any
contributions of baking would be most welcome.

Members are more than welcome to bring along any friends and family who are non members. Entry forms will be arriving in your email inboxs shortly. Please bring these along on the
day. The suggested minimum donation for this ride is £10. All moneys raised will be donated to the Megan Black Memorial Garden Fund, which is to be situated at Blairhall Steading.

Please contact Rachael on 07793219006 or [email protected] for more information, or to confirm that you wish to attend.
