Entries are now officially CLOSED! We have 70 ponies pre-entered and the forecast is for a dry day, hurrah!
Entries can be made on the day at £7.50/class for members and £15/class for non-members. Please note the show will be held in the Castle Field (ie the one up by the Castle as per last year). Parking will again be at the top of the field - please follow directions/signs. For those entered in the dressage classes, there will be a time decleration sheet in the secretary's caravan up until 9.30am then it will be in the judge's car. Please remember to declare your time as soon as possible! I still have spaces for this day at the moment, and would really appreciate it if you would let us know if you are intending to come along ASAP.
I am trying hard to group together ponies/riders of similar ability, and the emphasis of this session is very much having fun. Please don't be put off if you have a wobbly pony, or are a wobbly rider for that matter! Forms have been emailed out, but if you would like it resent please contact me at [email protected]. Remember-if you are planning on doing the ODE the following week, this is an excellent chance to get a preview of the course beforehand. Thanks! Just a quick note to let members know that although entries officially close today, Jill is feeling generous and has said that she will take them up until this Thursday. This should allow those of you that have been distracted by Blair excitement, a bit more leeway!
Please also note that the show will be held up by the Castle, as per last year. Hope to see you all there- Entry forms can be found on the CSHPC dates/schedules and forms tab. All current paid up CSHPC members (with an email address!) should now have an email to let them know about our new online payment system.
I (GT) am also trying out a new system called mail chimp to send out club emails, this proved a bit taxing for my brain, so if you don't have this email please let me know...I probably pressed a wrong button somewhere. For avoidance of doubt, online payment will now be compulsory for Hamish Cameron lessons, and available (but not compulsory) for the ODE and XC training next month. September Show entries will be done the old fashioned way for this year. Please bear with us while we try this out, I appreciate that it is confusing...but if it works (and you like it) we can look to roll it out more widely in 2014. In the meantime, baby steps!! CSHPC had a fantastic day at Achncarry Stud yesterday. For those of you who were unable to make it, there is a selection of photographs now on the website under 'gallery 2013' with a sub gallery for the day. Thanks again must go to Tim and Jean Connell for hosting us for the day. There were lots of photographers scooting around at the ride out on Sunday. Thanks to Susan Duvall, we have a selection of photographs on our website. You can find these under Gallery 2013/Scone Ride Out. Well done to everybody who came on the CSHPC Scone ride out yesterday. An even bigger well done to Rachael, and all of the Blairhall team for their hard work.
Over 60 horses and ponies took part in the ride, with over £700 raised for the Megan Black memorial garden. Riders particularly enjoyed the 1/2 way stop, complete with yummy cup cakes! Given the uptake for this ride, this is certainly something we can look to do more of in future. If you have any feedback, ideas, or suggestions for future ride outs, please feel free to drop us a line via the contacts page on the website. Rachael has been working hard to try to find a new August date for the fun day, which was previously postponed due to the weather.
Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to fit this in during August, so the club is currently looking at options (indoor!) for October time. We will let you |
